Barboursville firefighters were called to  assist Albemarle County with a structure fire at 21:30 hours Saturday night. Wagon 25 responded with five firefighters, as well as Salvage 25, and Tanker 25. all three units arrived at about the same time, albemarle Command put  the Tanker and Salvage back in service about 30 minutes latter, but held Wagon 25's crew to help with overhaul and to back up the RIT Team. The house was hit by lightning during a thunder storm that passed though the area. The fire was keeped to the attic above the garage where the fire started. Units from four other fire departments were on scene: Stony Point, Earlysville, Hollymead, and seminole Trial, as well as Rescue from Hollymead.
